Pre-race routine:

Nothing to special. Got picked up early in the morning by friend and tri club head Chris Morton. We drove with Sanders and Andrew to the race site in toronto. Sat around for a while, registered and then we went out to watch chris in the first wave of the race.
Event warmup:

I did about 50 or so metres in the pool but nothing too much.

Felt really strong in this swim, flip turns were working and i got about as far as i figured i would so im really happy about this outcome.

tied for first overall in laps with elite triathlete in the area mark linseman so was pretty happy about that. went further than last year but was hoping for a bit more. went pretty well though, thought i was starting to falter but regained focus and got back on a bit of a better pace.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

nothing really, probably just lack of training in last couple months, but it was really just a fun race so i had a good time.

Nice work by the U of T triathlon club! Good start to the university series hopefully everyone had a great time!
