Swim
Comments: Swim was cancelled due to storm and horrible conditions. :( What would you do differently?: Have nicer weather so I can swim!! This is my strongest event, so I was more than a little bit disappointed that it was cancelled. Oh well, what can you do?! Transition 1
Comments: Super wet and soggy bike!! But my first race on the new road bike. LOVED this experience! What would you do differently?: Pray harder for no rain. Bike
Comments: Totally wet roads. I'm surprised I didn't see any wipeouts, it was that scary! What would you do differently?: Would have cornered and turned faster if the roads were dry, but I'm pretty happy with my bike pace - big improvement from last year's season! Transition 2
Comments: Slower transition times due to wet conditions and absolutely SOAKED shoes/clothes! Run
Comments: This 2nd run was much slower than the 1st run but I beat my 10 min/mile goal, so I'm happy with that! The one HUGE benefit to the lousy weather (high 50s and cloudy/rainy) was that I was very comfortable and didn't feel like I was overheating like I usually do, yay! :) What would you do differently?: I have to get faster on the run!! Post race
Warm down: walked around a bit and hung out with tri team to watch awards ceremony. it was so freaking cold!! What limited your ability to perform faster: definitely weather! need to work on run speed, too. Event comments: I'm sure this is an even better race in nicer weather conditions! The lousy weather really put a damper on things. I'll probably do this race again next year. Last updated: 2012-01-30 12:00 AM
