Comments:

I had a good swim by my standards, especially after 3 prior races. my time was faster than the PM OLY because of the cramps so I am happy that mentally I did not faulter.
What would you do differently?:

nothing... I liked my pacing and breathing. I could absoultely have gone another 1.2 without question.

Event comments:

Love this race and if I could train hard year round I would definetly do this again... but not in the cards. I would never do this race half assing my training. This event is no joke and to see, and be a part of, the walking dead is eye opening. Seeeing the amount of people dropping out as well

really wanted to beat 4 hours here but those hills can be relentless. Also, on some of the descents you can't get up to speed and coast... a lot of switchbacks etc. braking was a must... dropped a chain and took a wrong turn as well which if I hadn't done that I could have beaten the 4hr goal.
