Run
Comments: Sooooooo cold!!! I wasn't well trained and knew I had to take it easy. Immediately my lungs began to hurt from the cold and my right leg started bothering me. It does this from time to time on runs ever since I twisted my ankle really bad falling off a horse. I did a lot of run/walk intervals for the first 2 miles until my leg started feeling better. I actually ran most of the last mile. At the 2nd mile marker, a horse had gotten out of its pasture and was running loose. Me being a horse person stopped and thought about helping but figured 4 people and a dog were enough to catch the horse so I kept running. What would you do differently?: Train properly :) Post race
Warm down: Grabbed water and a cookie and stretched a little What limited your ability to perform faster: training and the cold Event comments: Great race even with the weather conditions being horrible. Volunteers were friendly and there was plenty of snacks and drinks for the runners. Last updated: 2012-02-06 12:00 AM
