Overall Rank = 114/213

Pre-race routine:

Odd starting the race. A pick-up truck of 3 young women pulled up next to me from Seattle, and they where about to do their 1st Tri, so I helped them understand where to put the numbers on the bike, helmet, jersey, timing chip. I remember those days....

Day before did wine tasting, hung out in the sun.
Event warmup:

None.
Swim
  • 21m 54s
  • 1640 yards
  • 01m 20s / 100 yards
Comments:

Was a little choppy from the wind on the middle leg. 1st OWS of the year so I was really surprised about the time. Other than some sighting issues due to 1st OWS nothing special.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing really this rocked!
Transition 1
  • 03m 34s
Comments:

Was worried about my chain coming off so the mount point was a little stressful. Also couldn't decide what to wear up to the point I decided to wear the tri-kit (Was thinking about Arm warmers, warm jacket) but when I came out of the water the Sun was warming so went with my gut to just go!
What would you do differently?:

Practice T1 a couple of times.
Bike
  • 1h 16m 9s
  • 24.85 miles
  • 19.58 mile/hr
Comments:

Previous fast time for course was: 1:17:12, so a minute faster same course. Had to pee the entire time on the bike course. T2 couldn't come fast enough!
What would you do differently?:

More biking. Not so much fluids before.
Transition 2
  • 01m 46s
Comments:

Need some work here. Was a little lost when I got back, but had to pee.
Run
  • 55m
  • 6.21 miles
  • 08m 52s  min/mile
Comments:

As soon as I left T2 ran right into the porta potty for along pee. Otherwise it was a decent run, felt a little of the 1/2 Marathon the weekend before as I finished the last mile.
What would you do differently?:

Ah learn to pee on the bike, or somewhere else.... Also maybe not try to PR on a 1/2 marathon the weekend before this race.
Post race
Warm down:

Nice saw friends, made some plans for Boise.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Stress from work/life.

Event comments:

Love this race. Good to know how the season is starting and what you still need to work on for the A race. Also the post race BBQ and AG awards are good too!
