Transition Set up in warm up jacket and pants. Run to car from transition arean in jacket and pants. Shed pants and ran back to transition with jacket. Shed jacket, plyometrics, strides. Swim approximately 100 meters.

Typical swim for me. Only my third open water swim, and longest distance OWS. I felt much more comfortable sighting... now if I could get faster that would be great.

Get my foot in my shoes faster after mount.

Fast bike for me, and I paid for it on the run. I think I went out too hard, but I was impressed with my ability to stay in my bars and hammer as well as I did.
What would you do differently?:

Take a little off the speed, or train harder on my bricks.

Event comments:

Good race. It was a small race feel with some serious talent that showed up. I will definitely try to make this one again next year!

Course: We passed the 4 mile mark about .25 from the finish, so I don't know what's up with the advertised 4.0 mile run? I was very suprised with the hillyness of the course!
