Pre-race routine:

Woke up a little late. Had coffee and nothing else. Not hungry as I had eaten enough the night before to feed a starving nation!
Spent about 15 minutes on the roller to make sure my IT band was stretched well. Wore my futuro brace to keep my knee happy
Event warmup:

No warm up. Hung out with BTers and saw the people from my running group.

I ran the race with Erin and we kept a very consistent pace. I walked each water station and stopped at mile 6.5 for a gel. It was great to run with her

Warm down:

Grabbed some water talked with friends and headed to Chipolte to meet my mentor group and other BTers for burritos and beer!!!

Event comments:

It has been a year since my knee surgery and I began really running in November. I am so pleased that I was actually able to run this distance. Great race ...nice T shirts...good friends!!!!
