Pre-race routine:

Got up at 4:30, got dressed, ate a bagel thin with just a little butter. I drank some water and some Diet Mountain Dew, felt pretty good.
Event warmup:

Ran three laps around the parking lot and swam a couple laps.

I wanted to try diving in at the beginning, but really didn't want to lose my goggles, so I just jumped.

I really wanted to break 25 minutes and did, but I'm a little dubious that the course is short. I ran without looking at my pace, just went on effort, but I'm not sure I really ran as fast as it seems. I'll take it though.
What would you do differently?:

I probably could've gone harder on the first lap, but I'm happy.

Course: 8 laps in a 50m pool. The swim went well; I could go faster, but I'm happy with how I did. I got stuck behind someone in the 2nd lane, but once we passed at the wall, it was all clear from then on.
