Comments:

This run was pretty much perfectly executed. I had some goal times and i pretty much stuck to them for the most part all race.

The plan when i found out it was 6.1km loop first and my actual race is asfollows.

6.1km- 22:58 6.1km-22:46
11.1km-41:38 11.1km-41:24
16.1km-60:14 16.1km-60:16
21.1km-1:19:00 21.1km-1:18:51

If that is not well executed I dont know what is :P So pretty happy with how it went. No way i was coming in first. The guy crushed it running just under 1:12 which is pretty boss if i must say. Many points throughout that the going go tough and i felt my pace drop severly to above 4min but then i told myself various things like "no pain no gain" "pain is temporary, pride is forever" and "to give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift" and they kept me going and got me back on pace. oh and ps. Went with the shorts, singlet, arm warmer, high socks, and head band approach haha. Cant even count how many people said i was crazy, but i think it was a good choice on my part. Maybe a tad chilly "downstairs" by the end but otherwise it was good.
What would you do differently?:

Not much i would do differently. I think i had the mental and physical toughness today so i was able to fun fairly solid. I cant wait to really up my training and see where this goes.
Post race
Warm down:

LOL no warm down. Just did nothing haha

What limited your ability to perform faster:

not being kenyan. and just needing to put more mileage but thats all part of the game

Event comments:

I love this race. My third time doing it and it keeps getting better! Love the fact it was 6.1km loop first so you could see who you were competing against. Such a good atmosphere also. Everyone cheers for everyone and i got many high fives from other competitors throughout the race. cant wait till next year!
