What would you do differently?: Prepare my shirt in advance, mentally prepare for the T1. Bike
Comments: Strong ride, but traffic and lights made it difficult to maintain a good rhythm. Transition 2
Comments: Easy T2 without clipless pedals. Run
Comments: The legs felt better than at Sooke despite a bruised toe and still injured right side. I could have pushed more, but didn't want to wreck my knee. Post race
Warm down: Short jog, then walking and light static stretches. Event comments: Times are estimates because the race wasn't officially timed and I didn't wear a watch. I was in the first of two heats, so I ended up finishing first overall, and felt comfortable at the finish. Fun race with everyone from the Y group. Great afterparty at Jan/Ken's place.
