Swim
Comments: Felt totally relaxed the entire swim, a first for me in a tri swim. The back portion of the swim wasn't pointed at the beach very well, and I did notice that I swam the two turns kind of wide, but my slow time still surprised me. What would you do differently?: Stay tighter to the bouys, learn to swim straighter so I can learn to draft. Transition 1
Comments: Extra Body Glide on the ankles and wrists, wetsuit came off like a charm. What would you do differently?: Not slip on the grass right into transition. Bike
Comments: Tried to keep my cadence in the 95 to 100 range and not push too hard. What would you do differently?: Be more confident. Transition 2
Comments: This went well also, mostly. What would you do differently?: Get my feet out of my shoes better, and keep moving for the dismount. Run
Comments: Just didn't feel like I had any speed, pushed comfortably hard, but didn't catch many people, maybe two. What would you do differently?: Train more. Post race
Warm down: Chit chat. What limited your ability to perform faster: I'm about a month behind last year's training, 'A' race is late Aug this year. Just need more time. Event comments: Still love the price of this race. Organized is a relative term here, this year was pretty good. There were a few intersections on the bike with no control, but had no issues. It's the unofficial start of tri season for me Last updated: 2012-03-04 12:00 AM
