Run
Comments: Well, I should have not slowed to grab water so close to the finish. I didn't drink enough prior to the race start as I was too busy socializing (bad runner!) so by the 2.5 mark I was dry and wanting water (and maybe a mental break from running hard?) I think that cost me a course pr. :( As usual there were tons of people I had to weave through, and I really need to seed myself better in the crowd to eliminate some of that. I lost Steve, Ranger and Nell though, so I had to just get smooshed in where I could. What would you do differently?: Not slow for water, seed myself better at the start, try and pace it a little better...last year I had neg splits per mile. :) Post race
Warm down: just walked a few minutes and stretched a bit waiting for Dave and Meggles to come in. What limited your ability to perform faster: can't say much did...it was a great weather day, and I just should have stayed moving! Event comments: I love this race...tons of friends run it, Dave and I have a date night before staying at the casino, it'f flat and fast, I'm Irish and there is beer post run! This year they gave out great medals to celebrate its 30th year! And my husband RAN it! Whoo hoo! After hanging out with the Team Motiva8 peeps, my teammates, and past teammates and BT friends and drinking one (thats all it took to make me loopy) of Pauls beers Dave and I went back to the hotel for our massage appointment, which was HEAVEN! Heated adjustable table with music in it and a deep tissue massage that beat me up just right! Dave is determined to have enough comps so we can make that part of our tradition! Yessss!
