Comments: Happy with my time. Didn't taper or train for this race, and based off the little speedwork from IM training, I did slightly better than I expected. Started off what I thought was nice and slow and got comfortable. First 10k mile split was 7:49, last 5k was 7:53, so got some nice even splits. What would you do differently?: Hydrate a little better, had trouble getting to the first few aid stations because there were so many people around. Probably try not to spill gatorade all down myself, haha. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Ran around for 5-10min, mostly looking for a friend who I couldn't find. Then after awards biked an easy hour on the trainer. What limited your ability to perform faster: Probably no taper and not really training for this race (just did it to see where I was at training wise). Event comments: Impressed by how quick the awards were! Last updated: 2012-03-13 12:00 AM

Got up at 6:30 and had white toast with honey on it and some white tea. Picked up Eric and then went to the race and met up with Eddie who gave me a run down of the course.
Warmed up nice and slow for ~10min, which is when I realized that apparently my heart rate monitor no longer fits (kept falling down) and I decided to ditch it for the race.
