Swim
Comments: I couldn't find a good rhythm for the first half and my goggles kept leaking. There's always a first time and today was the first time they've leaked! I was slower than last year by two minutes. Transition 1
Comments: I got stuck putting my shirt on, half inside out, and it cost me about 30 seconds. I had to take it off and start over. Socks and shoes were a breeze. I sprayed my feet with water and everything went on really easy. I highly recommend 'speed laces', truly worth the money. What would you do differently?: I going to buy a one piece racesuit to avoid having to put a shirt on. Bike
Transition 2
Run
Comments: Very good run. I had too much in my stomach, but was still keeping a good pace. I felt that I ran strong the whole way didn't get passed my anyone in the second half. Picked off a few people who were fading and brought along a few others. Ran a 30 second negative split. 4.41 4.35 4.28 - 13:44 4.26 4.29 4.18 - 13:13 Post race
Warm down: Hit the food tent. What limited your ability to perform faster: A bad swim. Although, with the amount that I actually go swimming, this results is pretty predictable. Event comments: For a small race, about 400 participants, this is top notch. Everything was on time, if not slightly ahead of schedule. Last updated: 2006-05-13 12:00 AM
