Pre-race routine:

Light Breakfast at Denny's 2 eggs over easy, 2 sausage, 2 pancakes.
arrived 15 minutes after Tansition opened up and set up everything, 3rd person to rack. Met up with Rec Tri, Queen Zipp, and Kidtri33. Ate 2 bagle chunks.

Great swim, Set my pace and stuck to it, Caught my self single side breathing a couple of times, but my final time was within 1 second of estimate.

More lessons i need to get my time under 2:00/ 100

A couple of people didn't alternate rack so i had a bit of a time getting to my gear but not bad. Quick drink of Powerade zero and hit the road.

This is the second time using this new bike on this course. Stuck mostly with the middle gears occasionally dropping down.
Light cramp in right calf, stretched it out as best I could.
Tried to do a flying dismount off bike. Hit my right foot whcih was still clipped in. Took a quick fall but got right up. One of the volunteers said i was about the 20th person to do that today. I hope she was not jsut being nice.

Mostly walked, need more running time and need to lose more weight.
Cramp from bike was gone by the time I got to the run

Walekd it off hung out with the gang and ate pizza

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I oput on about 20 lbs from last year. I need to lose that weight again and get in more road time. (Yeah I say that every year.)

Event comments:

I love this race, this si the fourth time I did it. I got to see Queen Zipp podium (first time very for her) we also had Three physcuially challanged athletes compete. One woman lost a let to cancer 21 months ago and two men that were parapalegics. one was 14 the other was around 20-25.
All three finished and did a great job. The announcer made shure that everyone knew when they were coming it and they all got hugre rounds of applause. Beat race for first timers.
