Comments: Pretty good swim for where my swim fitness is right now. Felt pretty comfortable the whole time. Transition 1
Comments: So, there was a huge puddle going into T1. I went right into it and discovered that it was very slippery! I busted my tail pretty hard. Road rash on my arm, back and hip. DOH! Bike
Comments: Not exactly what I was looking for on the bike. I was working hard but barely moving! I need a lot more time in the saddle to improve my bike time! Transition 2
Comments: Not a good T2. My in-sole was a bit bunched from the warm-up and wasn't straightened out before race time. I spent a few extra seconds getting it straight. Run
Comments: Good run! PR 5K time in a tri! I had a cramp in my calf that started on the bike so I shortened my stride and increased the cadence like crazy. I kept picking out people to chase and then opened up at the very end and poured everything out. I don't think I had anything left to give but wonder if I could have pushed more on the bike. Post race
Warm down: Short run trying to loosen the calf. Event comments: Parris Island is one of my favorites in the GTS SCTS! I love the atmosphere with the Marines and the start of the season. 12 minutes on bike with 30 sec pick ups. 8 minute run with 15 sec pick ups. 400 swim easy.
