Comments:

Was good. Was quite humbled when what appeared to be a 12 year old girl passed me as we were turning off State Street. Man, NEVER will I EVER allow that to happen again. *shakes head* Legs felt good first mile and a half...then I started to feel the acid fill the legs. HR was stuck at 192 and it seemed it was around 6:40-7:20 min/mile. If I tried to accelerate, my HR would drop as many as it went up...(i.e. 194 would drop me to 190..then back to 192) I could only sustain an elevated HR for about 20 seconds. I had a kick at the end...about 60m worth. Not too bad.
What would you do differently?:

Train more. A lot more.
Post race
Warm down:

'Ice' (cold water) bath, walked a mile, Nana stretched me

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training. I've been seriously training since May 3rd. I'll run 2-3 times a week. I'm trying to build a base for a longer Tri next year. I went out thinking I could run like I did in college...but it takes time to build up fitness. I just need to be consistent with training and put the aerobic miles in.

Event comments:

Good. The Marathon last year seemed very very well run, lots of people out cheering. With the addition of the half and throwing the bikes in...the finish seemed a little crowded at times. That would be my only gripe.

Was good. 192 was the max HR I could sustain. First mile was in th 180's, then when we were about halfway down State Street...It went up about 5bpm. Once I got up over 193-194...for acceleration...I would drop a little to 189-190, then go back to 192.
Course: Ok. Seemed a little uphill in spots...it could have just been my legs
