Swim
What would you do differently?: swim was a little better than past ones, but went out with a faster group and got passed by a couple swimmers, felt good the whole way, still need to work on form and pace Transition 1
Comments: shirt got hung up going on, otherwise ok Bike
Comments: had some trouble clipping in and then unclipped too early, the gps watch was not working to start so it was hard to gauge speed, felt like a strong bike segment overall What would you do differently?: make sure the watch is working before the race starts, dropped the water bottle so had no water on the bike, Transition 2
Comments: took too much time getting some water and finding knee strap Run
Comments: was taking it easy on a bad knee, biggest mistake was course not well marked at one point and went off the course towards a wooded path about 30 seconds in realized it was not the course, turned around with a couple of others, definitely cost me some time, had alot left at the end What would you do differently?: watch the course markers, ask volunteers for direction Post race
Warm down: met up with the family and watched the others, took a while for results, Event comments: really well organized for first time running of this race, the organizers were really nice and appreciative of the participants and volunteers, great atmosphere, good cooperation from police etc as traffic was held and roads blocked. it was only about 20 minutes to the site so got coffee and cereal at home -
transition was crowded early so not alot of time to warm up by the time I found a spot, but, got to swim 70 meters or so in the pool before the pre-race meeting which was great
