jumped right in middle of pile..was not a lot of room at first, but then found a spot and it was fine. Did not have to do breast stroke at all, felt comfortable.

Hard to get socks on with wet feet...dry feet next time, wear thinner socks so easier to put on. Forgot sun glasses, but bike was mostly shade, so ok.

put sunglasses on bike, or in helmet.

I found the run hard. It was trails, but the trails were very soft, sand at some points. Trail was all shade which was great.
What would you do differently?:

carry my own water. I need water to cool down face, and needed it before the one mile marker.

running is hard for me.

Event comments:

Fantastic organization of race. Was surprised that transition stations were free for all, but it turned out fine. Everything felt safe...road had lots of volunteers. There was a huge patch of glass on road just before turn back into end of course...I hope nobody got a flat. Maybe if somebody had riden course that morning they would have seen this. Location and scenary was just beautiful.
