Conservative pace. First open water swim. Sucked a little too much water at the turn, wheezed for a few seconds, and got back into it after a little panic.

Push a little harder to finish in top half.

Reroute was at least a couple miles longer than regulation, but doable. State line road sucked bad with crappy road, uphill, and a headwind. Made return trip on BB a breeze though. Flew through hills.

Not much. This was my best leg at a PB pace.

Hard run for me. Left leg cramping on lower inside quad on uphills and flats. This was not a PB run for me. I sucked.

more speed work and t2 training.

Event comments:

I've been to 1 other race. It was smaller, but much better run. For the money, I would have expected a better post race event and a more timely start. Volunteers were good, the water safety patrol was excellent.
