Comments: I really enjoyed the race, and was just happy to complete it. I have not been able to train properly due to a strained gastrocs, so my time really surprised me, I thought I would be much slower. Due to my calf injury I had to do all of my training on flat ground, which made the hills challenging. I ran the first half, walked the monster hill, then walked / ran the rest. My calf tightened and cramped on the big hill, so I took it easier on the second half. What would you do differently?: Train better, and hopefully not get injured during the training. Post race
Warm down: Walking and stretching What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training due to Injury Event comments: The race was well run and organized, with plenty of pst race food. Walked over to starting area from the hotel. Lots of stretching, and walking around to stay warm.
