Run
Comments: went out slower on purpose and the race went better than my previous strategy of flying two miles and biting it the rest of the race. I was doing great but I didnt have appropriate footwear. I left my screw shoes at home because I am dumb. I really had to be careful on the downslopes - I almost Sonny Bono'ed myself a few times going down the trails. I fell once trying to go up a muddy upslope. I was able to really burn it up the final upslope and catch two people. What would you do differently?: bring my screw shoes for better traction Post race
Warm down: grab a water and animal crackers , cheer on a few folks and leave to get to the kids elementary school carnival. What limited your ability to perform faster: traction Event comments: like the trail course - the first half is very challenging with ascents/descents - the second half is relatively flat but muddy along the flood plain with a nice 1/4 mile uphill finish - it was great to run in a thunderstorm Last updated: 2012-04-08 12:00 AM
