Swim
Comments: Didn't swim all week and it showed. Wasn't smooth, didn't have good roll. Couldn't wait to get done so I could get on the bike. Did swim all the way to the shore. What would you do differently?: Swim more. Transition 1
Comments: My goal was improved transitions. This was a good transition for me. I ran all the way from the swim. I was smoother than normal. What would you do differently?: Practice. Bike
Comments: This was not my best ride. It was acceptable and seemed easy, but I didn't feel strong or fast. What would you do differently?: More hill and interval training. Transition 2
Comments: My goal was improved transitions. This was a good transition for me. I didn't waste any time. What would you do differently?: Practice. Run
Comments: This was a fantastic run for me. I felt fast and strong. I probably could have run even faster. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Post race
Warm down: Walked around, got a burger, got a mimosa, talked to people. What limited your ability to perform faster: Time and practice. Event comments: This is the best sprint race I have ever done. I had very mixed emotions about doing an all women event. I was wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will do it again if it fits into my schedule. Volunteers were the best! Got up at 4 AM. Had coffee and bowl of oatmeal with honey and blueberries. Left at 4:45 AM. Arrived at race site at 5:45 AM. Got body marked and set up in transition. Looked at course. Sat in car and read a while. Talked to other women.
Jogged a few short steps. Did some windmills with arms. Waited for wave to start.
