Swim
Comments: Wore my new Predator2 sleeveless suit, felt really comfortable (I upsized). My plan on the swim was to go lactic from the get go...(since my plans never get executed after I hear go, I decided to go balls to wall)...I did however, plan to draft off Craig, master swim team swimmer, but to no avail, after about 5 strokes he was gone. I later found out he was first out of the water from our wave (so I dont feel too bad). What would you do differently?: Go lactic more in practice to build threshold level. Transition 1
Comments: Slow transition but nothing I can doo about it...the racks were sooo tight that guys were in the middle putting on socks and shoes!!! I was like EXCUSE ME...not their fault, it was just too tight. What would you do differently?: Let the race director know for next year, they had the room not sure why they packed it in so tight. Bike
Comments: Man, I was really worried about the bike leg. I had driven it the day before when I picked up the race packet. There were 1 or 2 good downhills (hit 44.5 on one) but alot of hills and rolling hills....really pleased with the bike....thanks Mark! What would you do differently?: Keep riding Harriman with Mark! Transition 2
Comments: I got to transition and I was the only bike on the rack thats the good, I forgot where I racked my bike left or right of my towel. I racked 3 times, thats the bad. I was flustered after that and took my helmet off and my glasses fell, picked them up and grabbed my hat before putting my shoes on....thats the ugly!!! too funny! What would you do differently?: Not have a senior moment.... Run
Comments: I was soo worried about the bike, turned out the run was tougher. I'm so psyched I finally raced under an 8min pace. But it was so hilly the run it was hard to get a comfortable pace. Uphill (steep), flat, downhill, uphill it was tough. What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Grabbed a water and a gatorade and cheered friends in. Event comments: Great race for a great cause GO ARMY! and all of our Armed Forces God Bless you all! Last updated: 2006-05-16 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5:30am, tired of course, loaded the car in 50degree weather (that sucks...feels like summers over). Arrived at West Point around 6:45. Set up transition and hung out with with everyone till pre-race announcements (Had an Ensure shake for breakfast and a breakfast bar)
Ran a little but did not have time for a swim warm up.
