Swim
Comments: Swim was alright ... not exactly what I was hoping for. Swim is organized by the time people estimate it will take them. Too many people thinking they are a lot faster than they actually are. Got stuck behind someone but was able to pass her after 4 lanes. Passed a few people hanging on the ropes. What would you do differently?: Not much I can do different on these triathlons that are set up in a pool setting. Still a lot of fun! Transition 1
Comments: Transition was just fine. I forgot to remove my goggles and had them around my neck the whole race. Didn't even realize they were there ... :-) Decided not to put on my heart rate monitor to save some time. Next time I will wear it on the swim. What would you do differently?: Practice for speed! Bike
Comments: I am absolutely stocked about my performance on the bike in this race. This is the first time that I have broken the 20 mph mark. The last race on that course (well almost the same course) my average pace was 16.60 mph and today my average pace was 20.10 mph. Until mile 11 my average pace was 22.60 mph. Still got a smile on my face ...its a good day. Consistently spending hours on the bike helps. What would you do differently?: Nothing ... more training ... consistent training. Transition 2
Comments: Forgot to take off my goggles in this transition as well. Put on my racing belt and didn't even put on socks. What would you do differently?: Practice for speed! Run
Comments: Not happy with the run because I am just way to slow. Now that the OLY Triathlons are out of the way I will be working on Speed/Hill/Tempo runs to increase strength and speed. What would you do differently?: Practice, Practice and some more practice! Post race
Warm down: Walking around the vendor area. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough run training ... Event comments: Got a new PR by 11 minutes ... gotta love this race. Again very well organized and a lot fun. Last updated: 2012-04-09 12:00 AM

Woke up at 4.30am and had a cup of coffee and a Vanilla Honey Stinger Waffle. At enough the day and night before and was not in need more nutrition since it was only a Sprint Tri. Aired up the tires and double checked my gear.
Swam 200 meters at an easy pace to warm up.
