Pre-race routine:

I woke up at 5 am and had a Honey Stinger Waffle and some water. Double checked that I had all my equipment and checked the bike.

Comments:

I took it really easy on the swim as I had a small injury on my right foot and heel. The swim felt really good and easy.
What would you do differently?:

Without injury I would have gone faster but other than that I did pretty well and wouldn't change anything.

Transition was slower than I wanted it to be. I had a hard time getting my heart rate monitor on and I had problems putting on my shirt.
What would you do differently?:

I need to practice transition a little bit more to shave of some time but otherwise I wouldn't change anything.

I am very disappointed with this ride. I know I can go a lot faster but I had some issues with my foot. It was very windy on the course. There was a lot of head and cross wind.

This run sucked! It was pretty bad because of my foot injury. Its a flat course and I should have torn it apart.
What would you do differently?:

Lose weight and train harder.

Overall a good race! I shaved 7 minutes off my time from last year but it was not a PR on this distance. Race was organized and planned out very well. I like the Dallas Athletes races.
