Comments:

Overdressed. It was tough deciding what to wear. Temp was 44 when we left the house, so I put on a long sleeve Under Armour with a sleeveless dri-fit over the top. Should have put the sleeveless underneath - at three miles, I was too hot and had to take both shirts off in order to get down to just the sleeveless. Made the change while running, but it cost me a few seconds and disrupted my pace.

My target pace was 8:30 - 8:45 and seemed to settle in nicely at 8:35 with about 151 bpm. At 10 miles I was feeling good enough to pick it up and started thinking about finishing sub 1:50 - missed it by 18 seconds.
What would you do differently?:

Not wear two layers unless it is really cold, and even then, put the heavy layer on top so it's easier to strip down to the light layer.
Post race
Warm down:

light stretching - compression socks

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The calf/ankle tightness that I noticed during warm up was noticeable throughout and got painful at times. Every couple of minutes my shin would just go numb, like a pinched nerve or something - I think it had to be related to whatever was going on with the high-ankle.

Event comments:

Fun race. Lots of spectators. Very well supported and organized.
