Swim
Comments: Hot water! Try not to think it's the dog pond even if there are already dogs out there, I was sure they were going to swim over to people and see what we crazy humans were doing out there... Glad I didn't try to wear my wetsuit although I saw a few in them. Good swim Overall mediocre on the sighting twice I caught myself a little more off course than I'd prefer. What would you do differently?: Nothing much, happy with the swim for the most part Transition 1
Comments: I wanted to work on my transition times this race and am happy about where I ended up but still room to improve. What would you do differently?: No socks would be nice and flying dismount. No shirt next time. Bike
Comments: Improved over the last race but I think I could have done better. I had my virtual racer set at 20.5 mph and I'm gonna beat that little guy one of these days... I was nice and smooth on the cadence felt good if a bit easier than I'd want, I need to find that new level of pain. Bad on the drinking though especially when I ran into a former co-worker who works for a different department now on Folly rd chated with him for awhile, so yeah if I'm talking I need to be pushing harder and drinking better but haven't seen him in about a year and a half so it's cool. What would you do differently?: Stay in the game mentally and ride. Transition 2
Comments: Need to work at the shoe thing, I didn't do bad but I'm still on the slower side. Forgot my GU I wanted for the run going to safety pin it next time. What would you do differently?: Go Faster Run
Comments: I fell apart here as I kind of expected to. Kids- This is what happens when you stop training seriously for several weeks. Also not hydrating on the bike caught up to me. Alot of walk breaks the first mile and a half but I slammed a bunch of water and was able to finish strong. Only calling it below average because I was able to get my butt in gear eventually. What would you do differently?: Train consistently Post race
Warm down: Walked around had a pepsi and a banana. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of consistent training. Regular input from me just need to train consistently. Event comments: A great run race with plenty of volunteers and cops blocking roads correctly definitely a good atmosphere. Last updated: 2012-04-12 12:00 AM

Light Stretches. Arrived at 0615 for a 0600 opening since I still had to pick up my packet and it was already busy. A couple of news crews were in the area, I figured slow news weekend, nope Jimmi Johnson and Kasey Kahne of NASCAR fame had decided to do the race! Got my stuff situated a bit closer to the entry/exit this time as well
