Run
Comments: Well this race was supposed to be a BQ effort and it is a perfect course for that. But to make a very long story short, I came in undertrained to run a fast (for me) marathon. So I plugged along and did the best I could. In the end I didn't have enough to maintain my pace and finished w/ an ok time. My 2nd fastest in 5 marathons. I suppose the good news is that I ran that w/ very little hard tempo efforts and only about 25-30m of training per week and those were the high mileage weeks. What would you do differently?: One of these days I will get a chance to train for race the way I picture it from the begining of the plan. Post race
Warm down: walked up to the pavilion to get some food. Although my gut was it's usual know after a hard race, I managed to stuff my face w/ a bunch of crap. I spent the rest of the day recovering. What limited your ability to perform faster: See above Event comments: Great course if you want to try for Boston but don't need crowds to do it. Super flat, easy on the body. Be up front b/c the race is not chip timed. Last updated: 2012-04-13 12:00 AM

Up about 1 1/2 hrs. befor emy race. Nice that it was about 8m away from my house. The course was on a path I run frequently so there would not be any surprises.
jogged / walked about a mile and did 4 strides
