Swim
Comments: I got my time right and was slotted well. The guy in front of me asked me to tap to pass and I asked the girl behind me to do the same but we ended up not needing to. About half way through the swim I had a typical event freakout but worked on my breathing and my stroke and finished strong-ish. What would you do differently?: Flip turn, work on my technique and swim fitness. Transition 1
Comments: I'm always a bit out of it coming into T1 and I got dusted by the woman who was behind me in the pool - ouch. Ran to the mount line and got going. What would you do differently?: Not lollygag through T1. Get the shoes on faster. Bike
Comments: Haven't been on the bike much since I just finished marathon training a month ago so I was very happy with my bike split. Worked up the hills and tried to stay low down the backsides. What would you do differently?: Keep working on bike fitness, get the miles in. Transition 2
Comments: A mile to go on the bike I started to think about rocking T2. I almost caught about 4 guys coming into the dismount but was able to beat them out of transition.. and I didn't even forget my race belt! What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: I love to run. Post race
Warm down: My coach had me run 20-30 minutes as a cool down. Never done that before, but it was fun to run a bit on the course and people watch. Event comments: Set up does a great job. Granite Falls Athletic Club was very nice. The volunteers were great. I would run this race again. Last updated: 2012-04-16 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5:15, had some coffee, put the bike on the car and headed out. Ate a bagel in the car. Arrived with lots of time to spare, parking was a snap.
I should have done either a bike or a run warm up or both, but didn't quite feel like it. I did swim 200 before they closed the pool and lined us up.
