Total Time = 45m 52s
Overall Rank = 37/137
Age Group = 35-39
Age Group Rank = 2/12
Pre-race routine:

Ate a Kashi Bar and had some coffee. Kids were doing the kids duathlon, so had to get them ready, etc.
Event warmup:

Nothing, just walked around and watched the kids play.
Swim
  • 02m 43s
  • 164 yards
  • 01m 40s / 100 yards
Comments:

Good swim for the 150. Basically sprinted the entire way and had to pass some folks, which probably slowed me down a bit.
What would you do differently?:

seed myself higher up to keep from passing everyone.
Transition 1
  • 03m 20s
Comments:

Decent transition, run was long from pool to transition. Took me a minute to get on socks (which with my feet are a must). I might could have gone without, but would probably be sporting blisters today.
What would you do differently?:

get socks on faster.
Bike
  • 20m 20s
  • 6 miles
  • 17.70 mile/hr
Comments:

Good ride, was hoping for a faster pace, but there are some steady inclines out and back. Car slowed me down close to the turn around point. Other than that, I kept the engine going the entire time. Was hoping for a better avg speed though.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing for such a short race.
Transition 2
  • 01m 24s
Comments:

Decent, got lost going into transition so had to turn around and go back to my spot. Took me a minute to get my shoes on.
What would you do differently?:

Don't get lost in transition and pay attention to the pre-race briefing a little better. Also, don't waste time getting on shoes....I know better.
Run
  • 18m 7s
  • 2 miles
  • 09m 04s  min/mile
Comments:

Guess it was a better run than I thought, given the 9 min pace. I thought I was going slow and did have to walk a couple of times. My HR was maxed out the entire way basically. Seeing the 9min pace, I can see I was probably at my limit right now.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. Try not to walk on a 2 mile race... Really need to improve my running.
Post race
Warm down:

walked around and had some water.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My run. It really is a limiter overall.

Event comments:

Overall, great run race for a super sprint tri. It was a little cool out, but Team Magic does a good job running the event.
