Run
What would you do differently?: Wish I wouldn't of worried and kept up my pace on the second mile. I got a little worried that I wouldn't be able to hold the pace because I haven't done much speed work, or fast runs before this race. Transition 1
What would you do differently?: Next time I would like to have my shoes in my pedals, forgot to bring rubberbands. Bike
What would you do differently?: I slowed down towards the end. Took some time to dig out my GU from my back pocket. I was at mile 16, I think I should of skipped it. Transition 2
Comments: Hands were a little cold, had a hard time getting my helmet off. LOL Shoes went on fine, but couldn't get that helmet off. What would you do differently?: Come in faster to transition. Was going pretty slow, had already thrown my leg over the bike and the volunteer kept saying, "come on, keep going, right here". Run
Comments: Run felt good, I could of kept going after the race. What would you do differently?: I liked the pace I started out with, wish I would of picked up the pace every 2 minutes instead of waiting till the last 2 blocks. Post race
Warm down: Beer and food with my friends that also did the race. What limited your ability to perform faster: Mental game. Event comments: Race was very organized! Tons of volunteers! Didn't have to worry about any traffic at all, had the reserves at every corner. It was great. Had a blast even though it was raining pretty much the entire time. Last updated: 2012-04-17 12:00 AM

Woke up, ate half of a bagel, drank a cup of coffee. Jumped in the shower. Off to Riverside park, quick 10 minute drive from where I live.
Got to the event, unloaded my bike, pumped up my tires. Road my bike around for a bit, about 10 mins. Set up my transition area, got marked. I went for a quick 5-10 minute jog with Brad. 10 minutes prior to first wave I had a gu. I was in the 5th wave.
