Swim
Comments: Had a good swim, just never really pulled the trigger during the swim. A bit too cautious. When I got done I was barely winded. What would you do differently?: Go harder, even when I know it isn't an 'A' race, I know I had a bit more I could of laid out on the course. Transition 1
Comments: Pretty good T1, had a bit of mud stuck to my feet so I had to rinse of a bit real quick before I left T1. The transition area was kind of a mess. Bike
Comments: Good overall ride. Definitely happy, and looking forward to seeing how Florida 70.3 goes. What would you do differently?: Maybe go a bit harder into the turns, but that will take confidence. Transition 2
Comments: Good T2, really no real comments here. Run
Comments: Good run, despite the hot/humid course. Definitely could of gone a bit harder on the run, as I was really casual on the run. Ended up talking to a guy (who ended up being from Jacksonville) for most of the ride. Post race
Warm down: Walked around a bit. What limited your ability to perform faster: Really just had a conservative approach to the race, as this was a key buildup to Florida 70.3 Event comments: Great race overall. Excellent coordination, and volunteer support. Last updated: 2012-04-18 12:00 AM

Had some coffee, instant oatmeal (2 packets of Lower-Sugar oatmeal), and a banana. Made the 10 mile drive to the race site and got to transition rather easily.
Had a long time to warm up since the first wave started at 6:50a, and my wave wasn't until 8:30a. Took a leisurely stroll to the swim start and started to slowly stretch out, and then did a brief warm-up run. Felt good, and loose. Definitely was looking forward to starting the race, as I wanted to get out of the water before the wind continued to pick up as the wind had dramatically picked up from the first wave starting to my heat going out.
