Swim
Comments: I am a poor swimmer. I don't do anything about it so I don't get better. Swim was average for me. What would you do differently?: I NEED to get in masters swim program or individual classes this fall/winter. Transition 1
Comments: Good T1 for me. What would you do differently?: Nothing really Bike
Comments: I wanted more. I should get 25 MPH on this course no problem. I will next time. What would you do differently?: Push the pace more. There aren't any "Hills" but where there are rollers I need to push harder. Transition 2
Comments: I went to the wrong rack. Missed it by one. What would you do differently?: Not miss my rack. I was concentrating on a tree that was at the end of my rack but this woman was walking with her bike and not looking where she was going and I had to stop and holler at her then I was all thrown off. Run
Comments: I didn't push hard enough. What would you do differently?: Run faster. I can do 6:30's for a 5k so breaking 7 min for a tri should be no problem. Next time. Post race
Warm down: Stretched and chilled with Jennie and the kids. What limited your ability to perform faster: Mentally I think I was afraid of pushing too hard in the swim or bike. If I can break thru that barrier I know I can improve. I did feel great after the race so I stayed well within my abilities so that is a plus. I had a good day and overall nothing really went wrong. Event comments: Registration was waaay behind and we had to stand in line for 15 minutes. The race was delayed by 10 min. It wa the promoters first time doing Lake Mills so I am willing to give them a pass. Hopefully they will improve. I think they will. All other aspects of the event were great. Awesome support and volunteers. Last updated: 2012-04-23 12:00 AM

Woke up at 4 and had my usual breakfast of toast with jam and coffee.
Got to the site a bit late so I had about 10 min in the water to get acclimated to it. Last time in water was September last year. Overall felt pretty good.
