Swim
Comments: This wasn't nearly as good as I had hoped. I wanted to be much closer to 9:00. I was 9:37 in Galena and that too was a 600. Not clear on what happened. I know I had to swim over and past quite a few folks. Think I may need to seed up a bit higher next time. What would you do differently?: Seed higher so I'm not swimming around as many people in the first 100-200 meters. Transition 1
Comments: Not bad. Not great, but not bad. Bike
Comments: Hit this nice and hard. Harder than I've hit it in the past. Didn't do the turns quite as fast as I would have liked, but it was wet and I just didn't want to push it. Transition 2
Comments: Came screaming into T2. Hopped off the bike and grabbed the front brake a bit too hard. Almost did an endo but saved it. Then skittered into transition. Ran 3-4 spots past my spot and had to quickly back track. Other than that a really good transition. Especially with putting socks on. Run
Comments: Just couldn't get turnover going. Not terribly happy with it. Hoping for sub 23:00. That didn't happen. That being said, big volume week leading up to it. Still in better shape than last year. Post race
Warm down: Walked around and chatted. Rode 28 miles home. What limited your ability to perform faster: High volume week? Event comments: Eric puts on one of the best events I've ever attended. It really is one of the premier Sprint Tri's in the Midwest, if not the country. Another very well run race. Last updated: 2012-04-27 12:00 AM
