Comments: Felt good but time indicated it was not as good a performance as it felt. Tangled with another swimmer for about 1/2 the return leg but generally stayed out of the bait ball. What would you do differently?: Train more with speed work. Transition 1
Comments: Folding stool worked out very well. I gotta sit! Lost a few seconds digging stuff out from plastic protection from possible rain. No big deal. No socks. People bunched up at bike mount where there was also a puddle so I ran through puddle past cluster and then mounted. What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: Wind shifted during race so 1/2 headwind, 1/4 tailwind, 1/4 crosswind. Thought I was going faster but conditions were better than expected What would you do differently?: Train more. Transition 2

Comments: Ran the entire course but at my usual slow pace. No pain. No trouble without socks. Weather clouded up (and drizzled briefly at end of bike) so run was nice and cool. What would you do differently?: Train more and try not to get hurt doing it. Post race
Warm down: Walked around and drank water. What limited your ability to perform faster: Need to train more in all disciplines. Event comments: Race actually started 1/2 hour late due to bad early AM weather creating problems setting up equipment. Race organizers sent out email notification of late start early that AM. Had some sort of timing problem and results were not available until later in the day and final times not until a few days later. Up at 4:15 to check the weather. Thunderstorm outside but looks like it is moving out of area and weather will clear. Ate grits, yogurt, granola, caffeine. Got to venue at 5:45 just as rain stopped and wind started picking up a little. Transition was wet but set up on mat with pack in vinyl bag and stuff I needed under folding stool in plastic. Ate a banana onsite at 6:45
Swam about 150 yards. No running.
