Up early to shower and shave... peanut butter and jelly bagel with coffee for breakfast.

Quick swim to get a feel for the water after setting up transition.

Best swim ever... not sure why... for some reason I just felt very comfortable... totally relaxed... nice and long in the water... bilateral breathing... completely at ease... first time I have ever exited the water and thought to myself... well that was easy!

Not nearly as fast I wanted to average but the hot conditions and winds were tough. My goal was to average 20+... fell just a bit short of that... was right at 21 at the turn around so I lost the speed coming in.
What would you do differently?:

I drank both bottles on my bike... could have used a third as it turned out!

My worst 10K to date... have decided it was a hydration issue which caused HR to spike exceptionally high... decided to employ a walk-run strategy in an attempt to moderate the high HR. Not a fun run and a situation I hope to never do again!
