Pre-race routine:

Left house at 5:45 for a 8:30 start and barely made it. What a cluster. Lines for parking, the train, and the 10 port-a-potties they had for 40,000 runners were ridiculous.

1 Ensure before i left. Had a coffee, banana, half bagel on the way in.

Still too heavy - weigh in at about 225#

None - no time. Got to my corral with 2 min to spare.

Comments:

Purple corral. Good seeding for me.
Held 7min pace pretty much the whole way. fast run mostly downhill. great crowds.
Took a few waters to mostly dump on my head. no eating or drinking except a mouthful or two. felt good.
Tried drop the hammer at mile 8. Felt like i did, but my splits don't really show it.
I didn't have a watch or HR, so i just went by feel this time.

Warm down:

walked straight to my car and got out of there before another line started!

Great race...fun running down Broad. But 40,000 runners is WAY too much for logistics. I doubt i will do this again.
