Run
Comments: decent run i suppose, considering i haven't been training. just tried to keep it comfortable. but at times, i'd think, why am i so slow? and i'd change up how i ran a little bit, and i would be faster for a bit, but it's hard to hold because that's not how i normally run. it's not even necessarily harder. but anyway. i'm slow. it's weird to see people pass you, and be like, they look slow, i guess i'm slower than that. hehe :). i stopped to walk twice i think, sadly enough. not too bad because i think it helped me get through the race better (i.e. i got faster for a little while after the breaks), but i shouldn't have to do that. What would you do differently?: um...train more :). Post race
Warm down: had a sports massage :). ate half a banana, some grapes, a slice of bread, some oranges, and a drinkable yogurt. What limited your ability to perform faster: hills, mental toughness, lack of training. Event comments: the post race activities were nice, they had soooooo much food and so many different kinds, it was nice. but it was laid out strangely and nobody knew where anything was (water was not right after the finish line, the first thing you saw was turkey sausage). that was kind of bad, but i appreciated that there was sooo much nice food. no warmup. just...stood around.
