Got up early, had a bowl of steel cut oats with banana ane peanut butter.

Comments:

Was in one of the first waves of the morning- started off at 7:15 am. Indoor pool swim, had to run out into the frigid 30-something degree transition area to suit up for the bike ride! Wore several layers, was very chilly early in the morning.

Hadn't practiced swim to bike bricks before, legs felt tired after the swim ( I am a breast stroker). Toes got completely numb on the bike ride as well as fingers which were incased in double thick mittens.
What would you do differently?:

Strengthen legs more. Maybe use toe warmers inside bike shoes if I do an April tri again.

For the first 2 miles my feet felt like lead bricks, could not feel my toes at all! After 2 miles blood returned to my appendages and I felt strong.
