Swim
Comments: First ocean swim and first wave start. I think I handled both pretty well. Didn't hurt that the water was very clear and you could see the bottom and the hands and feet around you. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 1
Comments: Took too much time putting socks on. Transition area was pretty large. What would you do differently?: nothing Bike
Comments: Ended up a little slower than I wanted to be. However, a completely flat course was something new. What would you do differently?: Should have gone a little harder on such a flat course. Transition 2
Comments: pretty straight forward since I don't have bike shoes. Drop the bike off, grab race number belt, take a swig of water and go. What would you do differently?: nothing Run
Comments: Obviously need to get faster, but I'm okay with where I am at. I think I hit a wall with about .5 miles to go. Really had to slow the pace down. What would you do differently?: nothing Post race
Warm down: walked around. Had banana, orange slice and part of a subway sandwich. Drank a bottle of water. Walked back to hotel with bike to wash up. What limited your ability to perform faster: Need to work on running speed and add some bricks to my workouts. Event comments: Adding a water station to the run out exit would have been good. Otherwise, no complaints. Last updated: 2012-05-06 12:00 AM

Walked bike about .25m from hotel room to transition area. Set-up transition and found all the in and outs of transition.
Did some running to get the heart rate up. Then go in the ocean to swim a little.
