Swim
Comments: Swim was ok, would've felt better if I could've warmed up 1st... What would you do differently?: warm up Transition 1
Comments: All transition time was in the bike. What would you do differently?: Not much, transitions are getting better every race... Bike
Comments: Again, placed higher on my bike than my run and swim. After the 1st loop I definately was surprised at how much climbing was involved on this course. The rides last weekend with Jason were definately a blessing in disguise and has my motivation up on working on climbing. My whole summer is gonna be climb, climb, climb! What would you do differently?: Not much, I was happy with my bike, always feel I could have pushed harder, but I dunno!:) Transition 2
Comments: This transition was next to nothing, had Dwayne right behind me pushing it and I knew it,so there wasn't any messin' 'round here! What would you do differently?: Nothing! Run
Comments: Man! Couldn't breaf! I dunno if it was the 4700 feet elevation or what! I just felt like I could never catch my breath and this was my slowest 5k @ a sprint in a LONG time! What would you do differently?: Not much Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: More aerobic base! Event comments: :42 seconds seperated 3rd,4th, and 5th place! 4th was :10 seconds ahead of me. We rode the whole bike together and I left them with about 3 miles to go on the bike and they both caught me on the run and I just couldn't keep pace...Oh well, next time. definately motivated me to keep working hard!!!! This was almost a 3 hr drive up to Chino Valley. Ate some Grape Nuts with raisins before I left the house. 2hrs later, a banana then 2 hrs later, and right before the start of the race, ate a Clif Bar.
Not much, water was too cold and it was already getting breezy and air temp ws 60ish feelin' 30ish! Lol!
