Swim
Comments: This was only my 3rd OWS. I need to practice it a lot more. It was also hard for me to see. I need to get a pair of prescription goggles. What would you do differently?: Practice OWS!!! Transition 1
Comments: Took my time. This was my first 'real' transition. I wanted to make sure that I did it right. I was located near the back of the transition zone. What would you do differently?: Speed things up. Get on bike faster. Bike
Comments: Light rain during the first 1/2 of it. Took turns a bit slower because of the wet pavement. What would you do differently?: I could have pushed harder on the bike. But being my first triathlon I was not 100% sure how to pace myself. Transition 2
Comments: My feet were still wet because of the rain/swim. It was hard getting my running shoes on. What would you do differently?: Speed things up! My transitions were so slow! Run
Comments: Running is still my worst. I was happy though this was my second 5K distance and it was 1m30s faster then my standalone 5K time. That made me happy. What would you do differently?: start my final sprint earlier. I had enough gas in the tank. I could have gone south of 30m if I would have started at the entrance to the park. Post race
Warm down: Walked around, hydrated, met up with my friends. What limited your ability to perform faster: Still being out of shape. I have come a long way since March, but still have a long way to go. I am happy with myself because I finished. but now I have times to beat. I will be back for sure! Event comments: My first triathlon! I was super psyched / nervous at the start. I finished. Now lets look onward to the next one. Last updated: 2012-05-07 12:00 AM

This was my first triathlon. I got to the race location early enough to set up my transition area. It was raining so I was a bit frustrated, but was not trying to think about it. Walked around, met my friends who I was going to do the race with.
Stretched, walked around.
