The weather was pure swamp. 80F/100% RH on the road. It had been raining a lot and it was pure New Orleans weather. I'm not used to it anymore. I tried to hit a pretty normal pace. Not bad, but really needs to be faster here.

Crushed the ride. Was pretty darn fast (all considered) on tired legs. Much better than the day before.

Get up the bridge a bit faster. I think I could have pushed a bit better there.

Started to get warm and with the humidity as high as it was it was a sufferfest. This was all I had left and can't be too disappointed here.

Event comments:

For a first time race they did a pretty good job. They do need to have much better security in transition. The racks were way too low. And they need to pay more attention to the slower athletes as they were getting lost with all the people milling around on the course.

Riding up the bridge rocked, though, and was worth the effort to get down there.

Course: Lots of turns leading to the GNO, then up and back down. Slick as snot turns due to the roads being wet - really had to take turns slow and I did slide a tad in one. The bridge ride was nice, though the plywood over the expansion joints was disconcerting going over on the way down.
