Run
Comments: This was a run where everything just clicked. I didn't START believing it until around mile 5, and then I knew I was in for something special around mile 9. I was working, but it felt SOOO good. Was a little slow turning the corner into town just before the mile 12 marker, but then I went nuts on the downhill to start that mile. What would you do differently?: Not a whole lot. I WANT to say I could go harder from miles 3-7, but I think I found the perfect pace - any harder could have been disastrous by mile 11. Post race
Warm down: Jogged to the car twice. That was it. Then iced my right foot once I got to Eagan. Event comments: This could get real nasty on a windy day, but today was PERFECT. Last updated: 2012-05-10 12:00 AM

Two packs of oatmeal 2.5 hours pre-race. No Powerbars (was out). Had a PureFit bar on the drive down (1.5+ hours pre-race), some Sharkies an hour pre-race, and a Rotane 15 minutes prior. (Was also sipping on Roctane Drink.) Took a regular Gu at mile 7.
Jogged about a mile WU, and then back and forth to the car a bit. Stretched a bit while standing, and stretched heels well just 5 minutes before the race.
