Swim
Comments: Again this seemed longer than 400 What would you do differently?: It was a good swim. I found myself thinking I was hungry at the turn around bouy. Maybe eat a little more. Transition 1
Comments: I passed quite a few onthe ramps up, they were gassing, I thought hmm, it's gonna be a long day if your huffing already! What would you do differently?: Brought the shoes again and glad I did. Bike
Comments: Hammered the bike, fun course very little flat which was fun. The climb up from the river is a decent climb gets the blood flowing. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 2
Comments: Quick T2 for me grabbed a water and got to running What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: PR the run. I haven't run that close to an 8 min mile since highschool. I didn't run the previous 3 weeks due to some PF. Maybe thats the key! What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: walked around water and gatorade What limited your ability to perform faster: I missed my goal time of 1:20 by a little. I am ecstatic with my performance this wekend though. The double is tough. Giving 110% 2 days in a row is a drain. Monday I was exhausted. would do both again in a heartbeat. This is a tough course for a sprint, deep OWS start, long ascent to T1, hilly bike course, and tough run to cap it off. RD's have this one down. Event comments: Awesome race give it a tri! Part of a double weekend so we were already there and did the XTERRA Saturday. Got tot the race and set up transistion. I had some major stomach distress on this morning. None the day before???? Let's just say I was empty when the race started.
No Wetsuits so warmup again was the long march down tothe water. Got in and found myself in the midst of the studs who somehow got to the outside. I was trying to tread water and getout of their way when thr RD said 15 seconds, go!
