Swim
Comments: Starting in the middle was too much contact at BSLT. Started to the left this time and I guess I added too much distance to the swim. The pace sucked especially considering how winded I was when I got out. I still can't swim for crap. There is a reason I pick "wetsuit legal" races. Since I was in the final dude wave I felt like I was the last guy out of the water and every guy was in front of me on the course, I don't think I am exaggerating. What would you do differently?: Learn how to swim Transition 1
Comments: Not quite hands on knees gasping for air but very slow walk to catch my breath. I have no idea who yelled my name, but it got my @$$ moving at a jog the rest of the way to my bike. Holy crap I couldn't get my dang feet in my shoes that were on the bike. The cleat is broken and the insert is stripped on my tri shoe so it's time for new shoes. The shoe came off the pedal as I was trying to get my foot in. Horrible T1 and bike start. What would you do differently?: everything Bike
Comments: I had no data on the bike at all. Once again the PT doesn't work and I am done spending money to get it repaired. Once again I went blind and had a solid bike. Not quite "all out" trying to hit a high power number but just right to be able to run. I don't think I need data for a sprint any more. I think I need to bike at about 85-90% to be able to run a sprint. What would you do differently?: Once I finally got my feet on the pedals I was golden. Always have fun on the sprint bike course and today was no exception. Transition 2
Comments: Since I hit the transition lottery I decided not to do feet on shoes. My spot in transition was really close to the "bike in" and I felt silly for trying the feet on shoes start with the cleat messed up to begin with. What would you do differently?: I didn't reset the Garmin from the last run so it took a second to clear but everything else was pretty decent. Run
Comments: This run has kicked by tail twice. I did better. I'm still way off where I run in the winter but I'll take improvement from the past two Bridgeland runs; it ain't winter. Post race
Warm down: ICE BATH - amazing What limited your ability to perform faster: Heat, humidity, no speed training Event comments: You expect a great race from Aaron and that is what you get. Speakers kept cutting out and I think everything else was pretty perfect. This race has to be the best sprint in Texas. I certainly haven't done them all but it's the best of all the races I have done. This was my third year and I'll likely be back next year. Last updated: 2012-05-25 12:00 AM

Waffles. Got to transition too early - probably could have gotten a touch more sleep for Keri. I had been awake since 2am.
jogging a stretching for a bit. I felt the bike from yesterday in my legs.
