Comments:

With 10K people signed up for the race, it's tough to PR here. I thought starting where I did would give me some room to move from the get go. Not so much. First mile in 11+/mm, hit mile 2 at 20:34 or so and got progressively faster throughout the run. That was good but it was frustrating to have powerwalkers start so close to the front. I certainly understand my speed relative to others in the race which is why I hesitated going up closer to the front. Anyway, pretty hot, very humid and very sunny. Finished strong and had a few dry heaves at the finish.
What would you do differently?:

Move up closer to the front?

Warm down:

drank like a fish (water mostly), found Mike and our friends and chatted a bit. Picked up tshirts and pint glass and found a bagel place for breakfast.

This is how my summer begins. I love, love, love this race. Probly 11-12 time running it.
