Comments: Bumped into a few people on the way out. Someone had hit my chip and I felt it was going to come off. Rolled over a few times to mess with it. Wore new goggles that were not tight enough and had filled with water the first 100 yards. What would you do differently?: Not much, started towards the front of the wave. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: Not bad, I was pleased. I need to think throught this transition more to see where I can pick up ground. ![]() Bike
Comments: Left leg cramped at mile 7 and it took me about a half mile to work it out. What would you do differently?: Not sure ![]() Transition 2
Comments: Each calf cramped as I took off my shoes. Massaged each one. What would you do differently?: Get a good hit of electrolytes before heading out for the run. ![]() Run
Comments: Kept my legs moving at first without straining my calfs. Only two water holes, the first was a long way away. Walked a few feet or so at the second to poor water over the head. This was my fastest pace for a TRI. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Walked to water and sat down. What limited your ability to perform faster: Bike leg and the cramps in the calves Event comments: For a first year race this was well organized and attended. The course is a good one. There was plenty of food and drinks after the race. Last updated: 2006-05-22 12:00 AM
