Pre-race routine:

This was actually my gift for Father's Day. We drove down from Ohio to Hilton Head for our family vacation. This means I spent 2 days in the car. After racing last weekend I was worried this would have an impact on my race. I think it did a bit on the bike but based on the run it was ok.
Event warmup:

Not much this time. Swam around 100m but that was about it.

The swim was about what I would expect. I was not tired just slow. It seems like I have one speed and can go at this pace for awhile. I suppose that is just what it will be until I devote more time to technique.
What would you do differently?:

Not much, just find a way to swim faster.

I seem to be having some mechanical issues with the bike that I need to get it sorted out. I had both brakes rub at some point during this ride. I just didn't feel like I had it today on the bike. I would have liked to have been in the 19+ range.
What would you do differently?:

I just need to spend more time in the saddle. Especially before CP in September. I want to be at this average for 56mi.

I am really happy with this time. I was able to run well and maintain a good pace. I am getting more confident in my run ability and getting better each race.

Did some stretching and walking post race.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I think the travel played an part in my bike time but my run was great so it was a trade.

Event comments:

This was a nice late add to the schedule. If able to be here for another race I would do it again.
